Triumphing Over Challenges

On March 30, 2024, Kuen Cheng High School
hosted an entrepreneurship lecture for
commerce stream students at the Music Room.

The guest speaker was Mr. Lye Chee Yong, a
29-year-old entrepreneur and the founder of
"Pak Chan Yee Mee" (⽼陈伊⾯).

Mr. Lye discusses his entrepreneurial
experience at National Chengchi University in
Taiwan, where he recognised an issue with
affluent students dumping luxury products. He

and his girlfriend sold them at a secondhand
market, but they were fatigued and went to eat,
spending all of their money. From this
experience, he learnt that making money is not

easy.
After sharing his past experiences, Mr. Lye gives a lot of advice based on
emphasizing the importance of personal growth and self-trust and the need for clear
thinking before starting a business. He also mentions success can be achieved with the

right approach and a positive attitude.
