After a short yet instructive talk by Low Kai Ling, Chew Yun Qing, a freshman from
The Chinese University of Hong Kong(CUHK) swiftly took over the stage and gave a simple
introduction of herself. She mentioned that she’s currently majoring in Bachelor of Science
Programme in Global Economics and Finance, which is a full English course and shared a
few descriptions of her breathtaking campus, highlighting the picturesque panoramic views
of the sea and lush greenery of the mountains that can be enjoyed by the windows of her
hostel. She also shared some exhilarating activities she took part in throughout her University
journey, which she had an absolute blast joining the activities. By fervently engaging herself
in an array of activities, she stated that she was able to imbue her university life with a greater
sense of excitement, purpose and accomplishment .
Last but not least, Sherry Chan Jeng Yi, who is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree
in Business studies in Taylor’s University, started her sharing session with some basic
information regarding Business-related courses available. Sherry also advised students to
involve oneself in clubs and activities instead of only focusing on academic studies, which
is the key to a fulfilling campus life. Later on, she briefly introduced ‘Taylor’s University
Student Council’ and concluded her talk with a campus integration video, introducing each
club’s specialties and uncovering her fascinating campus life.
The sharing session ended with a Q & A session. Many students took the initiative in
asking questions. The alumni answered the students’ questions patiently, where timely advice
and guidance were provided, hoping it could assist in their future studies. Soon after, there
was a group photo session where everyone put on their faces with the brightest smile for the
perfect moment to be captured. After filling up the feedback form, the students left the session
feeling fulfilled, motivated, inspired and are ready to take on challenges ahead of them.
