During the games session, there was a round of Musical Chairs, barely fitting more than
100 members, and an intense segment where graduating seniors popped each others’ balloons.
Small gifts were given to those whose balloons still remained while every graduating senior
would receive their proper gifts at a later date.
After a quick photo for all the graduating seniors, both the English and Chinese fraction
of the club had their separate closing segments. The graduating seniors were then called up
and gave their farewell speeches after everyone had gotten their food.
“Who I am is not important… But what is important is that we hope all of you have
found a bit more about yourselves in this club.” To quote a graduating senior, many more
wished the club well and gave their take on advice for rising juniors.
With that, yet another year of the Debate Club came to a bittersweet but heartfelt
closing. As graduating seniors ourselves, we wish the club more prosperity and peace than
ever before, along with more than the best of the best for all the other graduating seniors.
Thank you for being such a huge part of our high school lives!
