invited Mr. Yap Hock Heng to hold a talk for the Junior
time Middle Three students in the auditorium on the 8th of
         time
July 2023. The talk was about learning and future career

planning. A booklet was prepared for all the students that
                                                       attended.
Mr. Yap Hock Heng is the founder of
   V Learning Enterprise's Parent-Child

   Education Workshop. He graduated from
University Putra Malaysia with a master's
   degree in Counselling Psychology.

The talk started at 10:40 a.m. sharp. He first explained that there was a game system that

everyone had to participate in and the top three winners that got the highest points would receive the
gifts. Then, he gave the students some advice on how to pick their streams. The first advice that he
gave us was to find who we truly are. A short Japanese commercial titled "Life is a marathon" was
played after that, the message from the commercial was truly inspiring.

Mr. Yap told us that our choice of career path depended on mainly three things, significance,
ability and interest. Then the question came: "Why do you have to consider whether you're interested
in a specific career?" Mr Yap further said that doing something you like brings you motivation and

satisfaction, and that you are more likely to be able to overcome obstacles when it's a career that
     you're passionate about.

Mr Yap strongly believes that everyone has their own speciality, and that we should believe in
ourselves and put our unique skills and abilities to good use. Moreover, he also gave us some advice on

how we should get our parents approval, including expressing your expectations and goals. He told us
what our next action should be as he quoted Simon Sinek: "Dream big. Start small. But most of all,
start". At 12:10 p.m. the talk officially ended after a Q&A session along with a group photo to
     commemorate this joyous event.
