Swimming in circles as they move closer in view,
Mutual respect filled the evening sky,
Both admired what they once misunderstood.
And what is a siren if not for her voice?
Of its enticement? Of its danger?
Oblivious,
Are those who believe in an archetype,
Incapable of realising that she's more than that,
That there is more to the norm than there is in their minds.
For they are more than just their headscarf,
More than just a silky red dress,
More than just the brownish dyes staining their hands,
More than just a voice that wants to be heard.
