“Thank you for being there for me”
“In this year full of joy, I have many memories in Class
Jr1D(3). I want to thank everyone around me for allowing
me to have a good memory. I also want to thank myself
for being able to integrate into the big family of Jr1D (3),
which allows us to have joy, unpleasantness and more.
There were a lot of exams, projects, and quizzes this year,
but I relied on my perseverance to survive until the end.
In the activities organized by the school, I know how to
cooperate with others, discuss and produce together. I
enjoy each process very much. These processes represent
a very important spirit of unity and helping each other.
After class, when I asked my friends about questions I
didn’t know, they would patiently teach me. Thank you
for my bravery, and thank you to my friends for their
patient teaching .The road ahead will be more difficult,
and I hope I can hold on.Thank you me, thank you the
big family of Kuen Cheng.”

“SO grateful for this quickly. Time really is amazing, yet scary.

to adulthood. This year has been rough
for some, has been smooth for others.
But nevertheless, it is over. The grudges,
the problems and the intense emotions
should be left here as we move on. Life is
an evermoving journey. So 2023 may have
ended, and brought along challenges and
opportunities, we should lift up our spirits
and prepare for a new year of opportunity
and enjoy our youth as we can.”

There once were a pair of twins. They had the same eyes,
the same nose and you couldn’t tell them apart even if you
tried your hardest. ‘I finished my homework already.’ One
of them would say. ‘No, you didn’t!’ the other would say.
Which do you believe? The twins always walked home
together after school, so it was very unusual to see only
one of them walk back home on a late autumn’s day. After
an hour, the other twin came back. ‘Where did you go?’
‘I stayed back to help my friend on a math problem.’ They
fell back into the same routine of endless homework by
the crackling fire. Truth believed his brother as brothers
always do and never found out what he had actually
been doing that afternoon. A lie can be told to seem like
the truth. Imagine your father saying: ‘I came home late
because of a meeting.’ Imagine your mother saying: ‘I’m
going out with my friends this afternoon.’ Or a sales person
saying: ‘These apples are the sweetest in Malaysia!’ Maybe
you might wonder: was your father really busy with work
or did he go out to have a drink with his friends? Or you
might wonder whether your mother was taking a short
break from the noise at home instead of meeting friends.
And do you believe those apples are the sweetest in the
whole of Malaysia? The twins are called Truth and Lie.
They are in your every day life and always will be, but can
you tell them apart?”
