Kuen Cheng Run

“BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP!”

The sound of air horns erupted and all the participants swarmed forward, traversing

through the rough terrain left by the rain on the previous day. The sheer amount of
splashing mud did not diminish the spirits of the contestants, rather it had strengthened their
competitive drive.

The annual Kuen Cheng Run was held this year on the 26th of November 2023 at
Taman Metropolitan, Kepong. The venue was large and spacious to accommodate the large
crowd of participants. Many other patrons of Kuen Cheng High School also joined the event
to show their support for the school.

The event was split into different categories, category A for male Kuen Cheng High School
Students who run 7 km; Category B for female Kuen Cheng Students who run 7 km;

Category C for the public male contestants who run 7 km; Category D for public female
contestants who run 7 km; Category E for any contestant who runs 3.5 km.

Before the Kuen Cheng Run officially started, the instructors of the Physical
Education Department and the emcee of this event, Mr. Tan Min Jie, gave an encouraging
speech for the opening ceremony, followed by a warm-up dance session led by the Athletics
Club. Our admirable Principal, Madam Chua Lee Lee, joined the dance on the sidelines.
