Prefectorial Board
Then, Ms Lim Siew Lian, Head of the Discipline Department, was invited to give
a speech to the Senior Middle Two and Three prefects. During her speech, Ms Lim had
expressed her appreciation of everything the Prefects had given to the Board. She hopes
that the Senior Middle Two and Three prefects will take what they have learnt from the
team, and use it to get them forward in life, whether in university or society. And to
finish her speech, she wishes all the best to the prefects in their future.
The hosts began their speech and called forth each Senior Middle Two and Three
prefects individually, who were waiting outside. Whenever a senior prefect entered,
the junior prefects cheered enthusiastically and rained petals upon the senior prefects.
When they had all entered, the prefects then took their respective seats, and the hosts
started their speech. When it was over, the hosts cue-ed the senior prefects, letting them
give their respective speeches about the Prefectorial Board.
While most prefects have expressed their gratitude to the Board and their
appreciation to everyone who has helped them throughout the process, several prefects
have also shared their unforgettable experiences through the years. Let us look into
some of the prefects’ speeches.
Kam Min Xuan, a from Senior Middle Two prefect, mentioned that being on the
Board has taught her so much. Her seniors and teachers have trained her to be a
more confident person, as she used to be shy and timid. Fhe has gained confidence
throughout her time on the Board, and now has the courage to participate in speaking
competitions.
