17 Giants performing
On the 24th of May 2024, a grand Teacher’s Day Celebration was held in the school
hall. Teachers were ushered into the hall, accompanied by a warm welcome from the
students, with thunderous applause. The morning event began with a musical
performance of “The Greatest Show” and “You Raise Me Up” performed by a band
of Senior Middle One students who called themselves the “17 Giants”.
Following the stunning performances, our Vice Secretary of the Board of Directors,
Madam Chow Sow Fong, the Principal, Madam Chua Lee Lee, and the presidents of
the Teacher’s Day Celebration Committee gave their respective speeches. Afterwards,
they remained on stage to unveil couplets—words of blessings in calligraphy,
indicating the official commencement of the ceremony. Meanwhile, all teachers were
invited to go on stage to take part in a symbolic cake-cutting ceremony. Teachers and
students then sang a birthday song to celebrate this memorable moment as our VIPs
and Principal cut the cake.
