On the other hand, Sr1A rocked the house with their outstanding performance
during the finale for group acts. With the help of the whole class, singers Low Ying Zi,
Saw Pei Yi and Wong Kai Feng combined their amazing vocals with various Chinese New
Year-related videos, which ultimately produced “Reunion”, a performance appealing to

the celebratory mood. Meanwhile, the song “Da Sheng Nian” was delivered stunningly
by Chan Hui Yin, Sim En Xi and Ng Bao Yi, who blew the audience away with their
melodic harmonies. Both performances were showered with compliments and cheers

from the much satisfied audience.

The review from Madam Hee followed subsequently after the last performance, and

the event entered into an interlude as they determined the winners of the competition.
The School Choir presented their own performance, which was a song named “Wei Xiao
Xing Fu Nian”. As the event came to an end, the emcees proudly announced the winners
of the competition.

On February 12th, 2022, Kuen Cheng High School held its very first Chinese
Lunar New Year Singing Competition Finale via Zoom. The event, which began at 2:00

Among the soloists, who were all extremely impressive in their unique ways, the
stars that stole the spotlight were Yap Xiew Tong with her song “Year of the Tiger is “Xin Nian Wan Wan Sui” by Hiew Ying Xuen and Lim Bao Yi
Here”, and Ooi Xiao Qi with the song “Happy Happy Important”. While Yap Xiew Tong
garnered many compliments in the Zoom chatbox with her sweet-sounding voice and Honorable Mentions:
