Before it had even started, the participants were already rehearsing their scripts as audience flooded into the hall. Shortly after settling down, the first participant went up onto the stage and began the speech of the day. Contestants have shown great confidence and talents, however, with nervousness showed in the voice of some participants.

There were a few contestants who stood out from all the rest; such were Robert Boxwell and Alexander Wong in the Senior English Category, with strong and special English accent. The audience was thrilled when Ong Ee Qing took over with her powerful speech on K-pop in the Junior section. Contestants of Malay and Chinese Language took the stage immediately and continued to win round of applause and appreciation.

The contests have brought forward different afterthoughts and comments from the panel of judges. “Erica’s performance was very good,” Mr. James, Judge for the English category said, “she has a lot of experience and shown great confidence.” Mr. Xie from the Chinese judge panel said that the most important aspect in speech, in his opinion, is one’s ability to convince others. The only thing that the judges felt incomplete was about the background noise in the hall was loud and had caused disturbances. Other than that, the contests had produced excellent result and a huge success!
