On this auspicious day of 24 May 2019, Kuen Cheng High School celebrates the Teachers’ Day as a tribute to the selfless service offered by all of our teachers. The day event was basically organized by the Student Committee. This is to honor the teachers’ hard work and their dedication to the teaching job.
During the day, many events were held throughout the whole school. Performances were elaborate, with the majority of the student bodies getting enthusiastic regarding their individual classes’ décor and respective celebrations.
The ceremony began in a simple and passive party. Then, it was quickly followed by a grand performance in the hall, where many clubs and classes put together a delightful song and dance show, having trained for many days and weeks just for this special event. The Harmonica Club even made its shining debut on stage, announcing their base among so many clubs and societies in the school.
Soon after the performances, teachers left the hall and proceeded to participate in more activities in the school campus; some to join the contests alongside their students, and the rest return to their classes to enjoy the euphoria-like moments with the rest of the teens.
Despite the little hiccup when malfunctioning of the elevator happened in between, resulted in the delay of some of the tug of war’s contestants to be restrained from their competition, most teachers-students sports contests went on well. And, later, through the teamwork from both teachers and students, the group of students resumed the contest after being freed from the elevator.
The day ended merrily, with students helping and doing the cleaning up of their respective classrooms. The event was a roaring success!
