On 22 June 2024, Junior Middle Two students from Kuen Cheng High School participated in an activity that influenced their year-end total scores. Students were instructed to bring decorative utensils and textbooks to complete their tasks.
Before the activity started, students were divided into groups of one to two and received a piece of paper with instructions. They had to write down summarised notes revolving around the chapters provided by their textbook, namely quadrilaterals. The students then down notes of parallelograms, rectangles, rhombuses, kites, squares, trapeziums‘ drawings, areas, and properties.
According to the marks allocation from the instruction sheet, decorative marks were counted as two, and the contents were three, respectively, for a total of 20 marks. Thus, students unleashed their full creativity to plan and decorate their notes so that they could score their highest marks.
All the students helped each other out to divide the notes of each group so that everyone could get high marks. Warm praise and laughter filled the classroom as the students polished up their notes.
“Ring…” The school bell rang, and everyone lined up at the front to hand in their completed sheets. Papers were stacked together, and a significant colourful “notebook” was created, combining all the students’ hard work and dedication.
