The SPM Exam of 2020 was delayed, postponed to be held from February to March 2021, and with a twist, this time the examination is held in a pandemic. Thus, the SOPs has major changes needed for SPM Exams.

For starters, once the students arrive at school, they are required to go to the designated place to scan MySejahtera and have their body temperature taken. After that, proceed to the specific class according to their classes in 2020 to get ready for their examination.

Before the exam starts, students are supposed to wait outside of the classroom and listen to the instructions given by the teacher-in-charge. Students are also being reminded to prepare all the necessary stationery, NRIC ID Card and Borang Deklarasi Saringan COVID-19 (a health form). They are also required to power off their mobile phone and keep it with their books inside their bag and later, the bag will be placed outside of the classroom. After final checking of the student’s face mask and belongings to prevent possible cheatings, the teacher will ask the students to check their exam papers and finally the exam will start.

Candidates are required to take off their masks per the invigilator’s instruction to confirm their identity. Jackets and outerwear of all sorts are not allowed into the exam hall. The lift is not open for use during the SPM period. Candidates are required to check the personal information, candidate ID, name, and NRIC number on the e-marking sticker on the answer sheet. Please ensure that all handwriting is legible and neat.

Regarding the matter of preordered food and meal retrievals, meal boxes will be placed on the tables outside classrooms. If candidates have ordered food, please retrieve your food according to your exam hall number. Candidates are required to have their meals inside their classrooms/preparation rooms and sanitize their hands before dining. They are not allowed to move around or talk to people during meals. Disinfection of hands must be carried out after meals and masks must be put on. Meal boxes are to be disposed of in the trash bins outside the classrooms to keep the environment clean.

All candidates are to make sure of their exam subjects, date, and time. Once again, gentle reminder to all candidates to bring their identity card, COVID-19 declaration form and stationery every day. Foreign students must bring their documents issued by the Ministry of Education. If there are any problems or questions, please contact your Form Teacher or the School Administration Office.

Stay healthy, drink lots of water, and may the odds be ever in your favor!
