School has reopened on April 5th nationwide; students haven’t seen their fellow friends for a long time. All of us woke up at dawn in the morning, getting ready for our first day of school in 2021.

Some might enjoy the time they spent with friends, teachers and their education in school. While some prefer online class due to the concern for their safety. No matter what the problem we face, it’ll end. We’re finally able to attend school.

Students of Kuen Cheng High School carrying their bags full of textbooks and assignments, entering the school gate, queuing patiently. Students line up in different rows, taking out their smartphones, and scan MySejahtera, the application developed by the Government of Malaysia to assist in monitoring COVID-19. The whole process in this morning is being supervised by our Principal hoping that the safety of Kuen Cheng students is ensured.

After scanning MySejahtera, students are required to take their body temperature and sanitise their hands well with the sanitizer provided. Some students came to school with an empty stomach. Luckily, fresh food is available at the School canteen. Many students rush to buy the food to prepare for the morning class with a stuffed stomach. Our fellow friends, let’s welcome all of us back to the new normal life ahead.
