School Hostel 25th Anniversary Organizing Committee
To celebrate Kuen Cheng School Hostel’s 25th Anniversary, an organising committee was formed to serve the purpose. A series of events such as an exhibition, a carnival and the opening ceremony for the new hostel building block was nicely prepared and cheerfully presented.
Committee members make preparations before opening the booths
Kuen Cheng School Hostel 25th Anniversary carnival began at 9.15 a.m. There were many stalls set up in the lane between the old hostel building and the canteen. The committee members and hostel teachers set up the booths and waited for students and teachers to visit them.

There was a booth selling the 25th Anniversary merchandise, including mugs, drawstring bags, keychains and towels. There were also stalls selling delicious food and drinks, including curry fish balls and crabsticks, which were sold out quickly. There was also a booth selling bubble tea and sour plum kumquat drinks.
Popcorn was also sold at one of the booths, and there was an option to drizzle chocolate or caramel syrup on the popcorn. One of the booths named “DUANG DUANG” offers drinks named “sweet” DUANG DUANG and “cool” DUANG DUANG, which are jelly drinks of different flavours.

Beside that, there was also a games section consisting of two game booths. One of the games involves throwing huge rings onto targets, and the other game requires players to throw a ball into paper cups. If the rings get thrown onto the target or the balls are thrown into the cups, the player accumulates points and can redeem either sweets, snacks or food vouchers based on the points gained.
The carnival ended at 11 a.m. Many students had a lot of fun and enjoyed the different types of delicious food and drinks. Later, the committee members gathered and tidied up the booths and moved the tables away. The whole event went on smoothly and it was especially memorable to the committee members who have contributed so much time and effort. The carnival was a huge success!
