Scouts Founder’s Day, or Founder’s Day, is celebrated worldwide on February 22, the birthday of Robert Baden-Powell,1st Baron Baden-Powell, the founder of Scouting. It was also his wife Olave Baden-Powell’s birthday, and she was the co-founder of Girl Guides.

Kuen Cheng High School Air Scout Troop and Girl Guides celebrated Founder’s Day alongside World Thinking Day on April 5. This year’s theme for World Thinking Day is “Our World, Our Peaceful Future”. The emcees introduced Founder’s Day and World Thinking Day Briefly, starting off the event.

The Scouts and Girl Guides raised their flags, sang their songs, and re-affirmed their Scout Promise and Girl Guide Promise. Principal Dr Chua Lee Lee gave a speech and presented awards to 5 scouts. 3 scouts were presented the award “Anugerah Pesuruhjaya Ketua Negara” and 2 scouts were awarded “Ketua Pengakap Negara”. 13 Kuen Cheng Air Scouts will also attend the World Scout Jamboree in Korea this year.

After that, a handover ritual was held, where a token was given to this year’s president of both the Girl Guides and Air Scouts by last year’s president. Many alumni of the Air Scouts and Girl Guides were there to witness the exchange. At last, a group picture was taken and that signified the end of the entire celebration.
