On the 19th of January 2023, Kuen Cheng High School held its annual Chinese New Year Fair. The school organized many performances, games, and exhibitions, one being the “Exhibition of Chinese Surnames”. The Exhibition of Chinese Surnames was held in the Lee Shing Cheng Hall, it lasted from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm until the school day ended.
As students walk through the exhibition, they will first be met with a few panels hung up containing the percentage and rankings of each Chinese surname from Malaysia, China, and all around the globe. Next, the exhibition shows the origins and a poem for Kuen Cheng Students’ popular surnames.
The last part of the exhibition shows the students famous historical figures and well-known organizations about or built by people with popular surnames.
