On March 26th, 2024, the Kuen Cheng High School Japanese Society hosted a warm and lively welcoming party to embrace its newest members. Amidst an atmosphere buzzing with anticipation, the event kicked off with a mouthwatering feast courtesy of McDonald’s, as all members were offered fried chicken, chicken burgers, golden fries, and apple pies. Members queued up orderly for their meals, setting a mood for the activities ahead.

Moving to the ninth floor of Block C, the heart of the event unfolded. Teacher-advisor, Madam Loh Hoi Yuen, delivered a heartfelt speech expressing appreciation for the newcomers while extending a warm welcome. She also stressed on the significance of learning Japanese and later urged others to strive to be better.

Following Madam Loh’s inspiring words, attention turned to the intricate details of club operations. An extensive report on club affairs unfolded, covering essential topics such as membership fees, rules and club logo among other aspects. Club executives stepped forward, introducing themselves and pledging wholehearted support be given to the incoming members. These interactions between seasoned and novice members foster a sense of belonging among the new members. Next, group activities were carried out to strengthen bonds among members.

As the event drew to a close, the air was filled with a palpable sense of joy and accomplishment and the members gathered for a memorable group photo. Laughter filled the air as club presidents took playful poses at their end-of-party group photo session. This welcoming party not only marked the successful recrutiment of new members into the vibrant Japanese Society but also highlighted the spirit of inclusivity and camaraderie at Kuen Cheng High School.
