On the 20th of August 2022, the Year-end Co-curricular Meeting was held by the Co-Curricular Department of Kuen Cheng High School. The participants included the teachers-advisors, presidents, secretaries and treasurers of each club. The aim of the meeting was to inform committee members about plans for the annual review meeting for each club and the activities next year.

The meeting started off with a short introduction by the Assistant Head of the Co-Curricular Department, Mr Ting Thiam Hock. Following up, a speech was given by our Principal, Dr Chua Lee Lee. She mentioned how each and every club tried their best to attend online Co-Curricular classes and also announced that physical activities will return from next year onwards. Madam Chua was delighted that everyone has done well throughout these three years of pandemics.

Later on, the Head of the Co-Curricular Department, Madam Hee Siaw Fuey, gave a general report on the annual review meeting of each club which will be held on the following Saturday, which is on the 27th of August 2022. She mentioned several topics that should be covered during the discussion of the meeting, which includes club activities and problems coaches encountered. Besides that, she also informed every club about the documents which need to be settled by the end of the year.

Following up, the Assistant Head of the Co-Curricular Department, Madam Lim Bee Hsiang, gave a report regarding the financial accounts of every club. She listed the details that need to be included in each club’s Account Journal, including both the main and allowance journal. In addition, she reminded us that both the Journals should be handed into the Co-Curricular Department before the 5th of October, alongside each club’s remaining allowance money.

The final segment of the meeting was the Q & A session. This session was open to every participant, they used the “raise hand” function and asked questions accordingly. The questions were issues regarding coaches, the number of students allowed for a certain position, approval of new club members, etc.

The meeting ended with the Q & A session, each participant thanked the hosting teachers before leaving the Zoom Meeting.
