On 20th July 2022, Kuen Cheng High School Counseling Department invited Mr. Chris Yong, a financial expert, to share his career journey with the students.

At 3:15 p.m. sharp, Mr. Chris Yong kicked off the sharing session with a brief introduction of his background. He is the founder of CY Academy and has more than 15 years of marketing experience in the finance and banking industry. Next, he encouraged students to always stand up and speak confidently in front of others to gain attention.
Q&A Session
Moving on is the Q&A Session. Chris let the students enquire about prospects and salaries of different jobs. The students actively participated in this session to gain more information about the career they are interested in. Following up, he introduced the Cashflow Quadrant. Everyone can be categorized according to how they get their money: Employee, Self-employed, Business owner, or Investor. He explained that each of these four quadrants has its strengths, weaknesses, and characteristics.
Career path
“Life is a matter of choices, and every choice you make makes you.” Chris stressed the importance of the choices we make, and thus we must know clearly what we really want in life and strive hard for it. At the same time, we’ll also have to sacrifice something in life in order to achieve our goals. Thus, it is important to think twice before making a career decision.
To sum it up, Mr.Chris Yong advised the younger generation to be more courageous in pursuing their dreams, and to always have passion inside them. Also, he warned them to be ready for obstacles and challenges while they are on the journey of realizing their dreams.

After a group photo was taken, the event came to a close at 4:30 p.m. Mr. Chris Yong continued to answer some questions from the students to satisfy their curiosity and desire for knowledge.
