Brilliant Results of UEC 2018
Total 18 Students Rank Top 10 and Overall Outstanding
The UEC Results (Malaysian Independent Chinese Secondary School Unified Examination) for both Senior Middle and Junior Middle Level released simultaneously today. Kuen Cheng High School continues to achieve good grades; there are a total of 18 high achievers scored best in various different subjects nationwide and ranked Top 10 Excellent Performance and the overall results are exceptionally good. Among the 398 students sat for Senior Middle Level Examination, 16 of them scored straight As; 5 scored 10As, 13 scored 9As respectively, other students who did well inclusive that of 22 get 8As, 27 get 7As and 29 get 6As respectively. Furthermore, the number of students scored 6As and above had been outperforming result of the past three years; the growth has increased by 61%. In general, most students have achieved a steady and good result, the development has been very encouraging. Subjects that have attained an incredible 100% Pass Grade include Malay Language, English Language, Mathematics, Advanced Mathematics (I), Advanced Mathematics (II), History, Geography, Economics and Art. And, the rest of the subjects that have attained a Pass Grade surpassed 95%.
On the same day, the school gets an overall better result in Junior Middle Level. A total of 794 students took the Examination. 13 of them scored 8As and 76 scored 7As respectively. We maintained an average Pass Grade in all subjects; Malay Language, English Language, History and Art get 100%. And, Chinese Language, Mathematics, Science and Geography achieved Pass more than 99%.
Kuen Cheng High School values the importance of high quality education; we conducted double track academic system where students must sit for both the National and UEC Examinations. This is to make sure that students are well prepared academically so that they are ready to get a good grade in the yearly public examinations. Building and promoting on the foundation of a Chinese culture, the school also ensures that we get a good balance of development in our academic as well as co-curricular activities. All students must learn the three languages and be all-rounders in order to cope with the current fast changing digital world.
