A group of five students from Senior One A Science Class took part in the All Rounded Drone Competition held by UTAR Makers Club (UMC) of Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) from 24 November 2018. The team was formed by Tan Chi Qian, Ng Jiunn Xiang, Wong Khai Hsin, Ng Shien Ming and Lee Jun Hoe, our genuine makers came from Sr1ScA.
Participants of the said competition have limited choice in using of materials for setting up a drone. Criteria for assessing included Aesthetics, Durability and Challenge. During the competition day, the team met with different kinds of difficulty and failed many times. They learnt from the game that theory and practical has been totally two different things. In order to survive a challenge in life, one has to be firm and never give up easily when facing obstacles or even failure. Before the competition ends, the drone they designed and built had successfully flown autonomously and the team was declared Champion of High School Category!
