On the Learning Activity Day of 20 July 2019, while the rest of the school moves through the flawless cycle of their events, students from the Arts stream are given a new task and faced with a challenge: Presentation. Classes of Arts stream consisted students from A, B and C, all facing the same task in their path. They are to present a history of an entrepreneur of their choosing, ranging from, domestically the late Tan Sri Dato’ Lee Shin Cheng, Tan Sri Robert Kuok, to Elon Musk and Bill Gates in overseas.

The experience was interesting and a challenging one. When pushed to the corner, that’s when we see the students’ true talents outshine. Even the most timid amongst the class are willing to stand up and speak, for the interest and benefit of their team.

As the effort in their presentation, including the content and the skills to be introduced, will be counted as part of the academic performances, students went all the way to prove their unspoken seriousness and their drive to attain the best results possible. And, they eventually did.

During interview, a student expressed, “I guess this is in our Stream’s charm? Something not from our textbook, yet it relates to our studies anyway.” Presentation might look common, but cooperation as well as coordination among team members is crucial, even the slightest stutter will affect the performance of the entirety. The stress alone was sufficient to enhance the teamwork and collaboration in between all teams.
