In order to help cultivate a strong sense of rhythm, perception as well as improve the concentration and responsiveness of students, Kuen Cheng Music Composing Society and Kuen Cheng Chinese Orchestra jointly organized an exciting activity that involved a routine of moving cups for all Junior Middle Two students on the 25th of March.
After making space for the activity by moving their tables and chairs, the students sat on the floor forming an oval. Demonstration videos that exhibited movements and actions of the cup routine were played for students to follow. Cups were provided for those who did not bring any.

At first, many students who had yet to get the hang of it were fumbling to keep up. However, under the guidance of patient seniors, they were soon smoothly doing the routine. The seniors came into the formed loop to demonstrate while watching over batches of students, one at a time, ensuring that everyone had followed through. The catchy rhythm was soon echoing through the hallways. The synchronal beat was brought together by the fast, intricate movements of students thumping their cups against the smooth surface of the floor, followed by passing their cups to the next person to repeat the action.
