On August 5th, 2022, Friday, Kuen Cheng High School Counseling Department held a talk on further studies in the EU (European Union countries) for Senior Middle Two and Three students. The School was honoured to have invited Mr Chiau CK from MyStudy Education Consulting Sdn. Bhd. for the sharing session.
The event began on a lively note, with Mr CK’s self-introduction and a brief explanation of the EU’s education system. He started off strong, speaking of the many reasons to study abroad and more specifically, in the EU.
He emphasized five things to be taken into account while selecting a college or university – cost, course, criteria, culture and career. He also stated that transnational education is not only a challenge, but a chance to explore and broaden horizons.
Next up, Mr CK shared ways of university admission application. After seeking advice, students should prepare their personal statements and the documents needed.
Apart from that, the fees should be taken into consideration. Students are advised to work part-time jobs in order to reduce the amount of money needed.
During the Q&A session, Mr CK emphasized the importance of mastering a foreign language. Hence, he suggested that students should learn the local language if heading to another country.
