On February 22, 2025, the grand opening ceremony of Kuen Cheng High School’s newly established History Gallery was celebrated with great enthusiasm. The entire Saturday was filled with events leading up to the opening.
As part of the day’s festivities, a performance showcase was held at the basketball court. Participating societies included the Wind Orchestra, Diabolo Club, Rope Skipping Society, Wushu Club, Police Cadets, Drama Club, Guitar Club, Music Composing Society, Dragon & Lion Dance Club, and 24 Festive Drums Club. Each society honoured the gallery’s opening in its own unique way.

In front of the school hall, adjacent to the new canteen, several societies held workshops open to students, including the Taekwondo Club, Chinese Orchestra, and Diabolo Club. The 24 Festive Drums Club displayed a poster explaining the various seasons of the year in China, accompanied by drums for students to play.
A literary and artistic bazaar was also held in front of the school hall. The Creative Writing Society sold notebooks featuring beautiful illustrations created by students. The Calligraphy Club, Art Club, Yoga Club, and Dragon & Lion Dance Club sold hand-painted bookmarks and fans, while the Western Calligraphy Club offered DIY notebook packs for sale.

Similar lively activities were taking place on the ground floor of the new hostel. There, the Board Game Club, Malaysia Cultural Society, Mathematics Society, Computer Club, Magic Cube Society, Librarians Club, Modern Dance Club, History Society, and Girl Guides hosted more game-oriented events. These attracted students with the promise of rewards and games, such as a lively bingo game and capybara plushies. One of the most notable booths was that of the History Society, which featured prominent past figures of the school to further educate students about its long-standing history.
