On the peaceful morning of the 15th of November 2019, all school staff and Jr1, Jr2 and Sr1 students were gathered in the hall to acknowledge the closure of the academic year for 2019 as well as to witness the presentation of the MAGNUM Study Awards.
As soon as the singing of the national anthem and school song was done, the MAGNUM Study Award presentation began almost immediately. First up to receive the Magnum Motivation Awards were students who excelled in their academics and got first place in their class. Besides that, the Most Caring Teacher Award by MAGNUM was presented to our Head of the Counselling Department, Mr Tan Yong Chin, in recognition of his contribution and efforts towards teaching profession as well as the wellbeing of students.
Next up was the presentation of awards by our school to the students who have worked hard over the academic year. The first ten students in place of every level and their respective streams as well as the students placed in the first five places of every class were presented with small trophies to congratulate and acknowledge their efforts in maintaining their grades as well as a form of encouragement to continue working hard and chasing their dreams in the following year. Awards were also presented to ten students from Jr1, Jr2 and Sr1 respectively for their massive improvement in terms of academic results for this year. Finally, the Harvard Prize Book Award was presented to Erica Boey Yyng Shan from Sr3ComA.
