Music plays a big role in our lives. To understand and appreciate music – at a deeper level, the school has conducted a Music Appreciation for all new juniors on our Learning Activity Day of 2 March 2019. Ms Hee Siaw Fuey, Mr Sim Wei Yih and Ms Wong Sheau Hui, three music teachers took charge of the project; they made the introduction of Ludwig van Beethoven, one of the greatest musicians of all time, his innovative compositions in detail. The program has also provided the audience with interesting facts about masterpieces of music and their composers, and further elaborated on how music has enhanced and enriched our creativity.
During the course of the morning, students get a chance to listen to the piano music, of Beethoven, being played by four of their highly talented junior classmates; the piano players included Natasha Goh Qian Yi, Ng You Li, Chee Xin Yen and Tan Wei Han. The event ended on a high note with happy and more committed participants of great music.
