Professor Li Wei Sheng of East China Normal University visited and gave a lecture to teachers of Kuen Cheng High School on 29 December 2018. Prof Li came from Shanghai, China where he has spent more than thirty years in the University doing research and development of education.
Prof Li is specialized in the management of classes. He thinks the significance of the topic can be categorized into four main segments during his lecture. 1) To be a Professional Smart Class Teacher. 2) To build the students of a class into an energetic community. 3) To design the class whole-heartedly, beginning from a period to the complete subject and 4) To take the initiative in creating education life with passion. In between, teachers are encouraged to make use of the Work Sheet given to them earlier, to do revision and carry out discussion regarding the special topic.
From the lecture, teachers learn about new perspective and ways to be a good
educator. This should prepare them well into the new school term.
