Beginning from the 9th of July 2024, a series of fun activities was held throughout the school. With the help of members from the English Magazine club, the organisers from the English Language Society had successfully placed emphasis on allowing students to enjoy the beauty of the English language, with games and competitions being held to initiate discussion and participation amongst their target audience.

Students were encouraged to take part in the singing competition, which was being held on the 9th of July. The contestants were not reluctant in flaunting their talents of producing melodious music for the judges and audience to hear. It was a spectacular event and experience, doing a well-done job in starting out for an exciting week to come.

On the following day, a vast array of students from different backgrounds were provided with the opportunity to join in on the fun of the Newscasting Competition, which was held during the second recess. The students were able to show off their public speaking skills, and prizes were up for grabs for both the Junior and Senior students.

The English Week Minigames left its mark once it had kicked off on the 10th of July. Activities such as that of Wordle of the Day, Word Search and Ping Pong Word Generator were made available to all, imparting due enrichment for the students and staff during the latter part of their time off work and studies. Moreover, students were gifted with a bookmark and sweets solely as a token of appreciation for their engagement.

The following Saturday marked the grand finale of English Week, with all activities being wrapped up during the lively closing ceremony. Spanning from 10:30a.m. to 12:30p.m., the event left every participant beaming with happiness and a sense of accomplishment. Ultimately, the students not only benefited greatly but also reveled in this unique and refreshing approach to a language that has no doubt become second nature to us all. What surprises might the future hold? Only time will tell!
