On the 26th and 27th of June 2023, Kuen Cheng High School held several special activities to celebrate the Duan Wu Festival. There were a total of three activities active during the first and second recesses.

Two out of the three events took place at the new canteen. The first event was Duan Wu Pitch Pot (端午投壶), where contestants were provided with sticks to throw into plastic bottles. The students helping out were very diligent with their work and cheered on all the contestants. Students laughed as their friends tried and failed.

Next, the Duan Wu Past Events (端午往事) is a game where two contestants compete against each other in a battle of bingo. All the contestants had serious and focused looks on their faces when looking for answers, resulting in fierce competition. The facilitators sometimes also gave hints when both contestants were at a loss.

Lastly, the Duan Wu Festival Wishes (心愿端午) in the lobby under block A was probably the most popular among students since they had the chance to win either a pen or sweet by just writing some wishes. Most students wished for a happy Duan Wu Festival, while others hoped to excel in their exams with flying colours.

With all the activities prepared, students were content with these two school days right before their Hari Raya Haji holiday. We take this opportunity to wish all our Muslim friends a Happy Hari Raya Haji and happy holidays.
