On the 27th of May 2023, Kuen Cheng Counseling Department collaborated with AUG Student Services to organise a MBTI test self-exploration workshop for the Senior Middle 2 and 3 students. The workshop opened from 9.00 am sharp and ended at 1.00 pm. It was hosted by Ms Linda Lam and Ms Jeannie Te, both certified counsellors.
After a brief introduction by Ms Linda, the event kicked off with an ice-breaking session to boost the atmosphere, allowing participants to walk around and ask others to pick one each from the two options given related to the MBTI personality key. Later on, everyone was asked to do a MBTI questionnaire to determine their actual personality type. Further explanations were then given based upon different MBTI results.
At 10.20 am, the workshop proceeded with some group activities. The participants were requested to enter their respective groups based on their unique personalities and were given a scenario to further exhibit their thoughts on it. The room was suddenly permeated with laughter and high-spirited chit-chatting noises as the discussions began. Later, the representatives of each group took turns to convey the results of their discussions.
Group activities
There was a short break of 30 minutes at 11.00 am. Buns and soya beans were provided to participants as tea-time treats. More group activities followed suit. The participants became more engaged in their respective team.
Before heading home, nutritious lunch boxes prepared by Delixius, one of our canteen operators, were distributed to all participants. The workshop came to an end with a group photoshoot. Overall, everyone utterly enjoyed the activities and had a whale of time discovering their own personalities and exploring the true self!
