Following the yearly Hari Raya celebrations, the Academic Department of Kuen Cheng High School organised several week-long activities, including a Festive Photo Booth and Wau Wishing Activity, both of which were held right outside the canteen.
From the 11th to 19th of April, the Hari Raya Festive Photo Booth was open to all students and teachers to have their photos taken. Several props were prepared, such as ketupat decorations, cardboard cut-outs of traditional Hari Raya kuih-muih and festive greetings. Students and teachers were also allowed to try on traditional Malay clothing, including Baju Kurung and Baju Kebaya. All the photos were taken by the Photography Club and uploaded on their Facebook page.
As for the Wau Wishing Activity which was held from the 11th to 14th of April, students and teachers were provided with small Wau-shaped paper cut-outs to write blessings and wishes. The blessings were then pasted on the notice board right beside the Festive Photo Booth.
Overall, students and teachers alike had fun taking photos and writing blessings together, celebrating Hari Raya with glee.
