On the 30th of November 2022, Kuen Cheng High School’s first-ever Christmas Culture Week began with an opening ceremony held in the block A lobby. Teachers and students alike gathered in the lobby to watch members of Kuen Cheng’s Christian Fellowship Club sing Christmas carols, while sharing the story of the birth of Jesus Christ.

The opening ceremony began with a brief speech from Principal Madam Dr Chua Lee Lee, who thanked the Christian Fellowship Club for their efforts in organising the activities, and expressed her happiness that Kuen Cheng was holding its first Christmas-related event. After the speech, Madam Chua was led by students to light up the Christmas tree at the lobby, marking the beginning of a 5-day long Christmas Culture Week.

Then, the Christian Fellowship’s Christmas musical began, with over 20 carollers singing classic Christmas songs such as “Silent Night”, “The First Noel” and “Joy to the World”. Between each song was a brief acting sequence that told the story of how Virgin Mary gave birth to Jesus Christ in a manger.

After the musical, teacher-in-charge of the Christian Fellowship Club, Mr. Choo Zheng Hui, led a prayer wishing for the continuous prosperity of our School. Then, the carollers gave out gifts to spectators while singing “We Wish You A Merry Christmas”.

With that, the Christmas activities opening ceremony came to an end. We hope to see even more Christmas events from the school in the future!
