Teacher Mr Chong Chao Ming:

During the online class in the past two years, instead of doing volleyball practices, he focused on giving students stamina training. This was because doing volleyball practices might annoy the neighbourhood as most are still sleeping as the zoom class was as early as 8 a.m.

Besides, since our school is not open for physical activity due to Covid-19, the volleyball team did not really have sufficient practice. Only having enough time for two weeks of practice, they, unfortunately, were interrupted by rain, and some teammates had to be isolated due to Covid-19. These trifles had greatly affected their practice time. Hence, Mr Chong was satisfied with their impressive performance albeit the insufficient practice.

He was happy to see that every student practised hard for the competition. It is such a pity as they did not have enough practice and some of the teammates lack experience. Nonetheless, they will take the experience as motivation and will practice more to prepare for other competitions as well as strive for better performance.

Kok Shyuen and Eunice Yong:

They stated that due to their insufficient practice which was less than three weeks, and two years in online classes, some of them were not used to physical practice and their team lacked chemistry in the beginning. Therefore, they believed that they would have achieved better results if they had sufficient practices.

After the competition, they had seen the level and the skills of other schools. Thus, they will work even harder to improve their skills and hope that they could achieve better results in the upcoming competitions.

Jovin Yap And Yeoh Vihim:

Regarding their results and teamwork, they were very satisfied with it. Taking into consideration that they had prepared for the competition for two weeks long in which they will stay back in school every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. to practice.

During the competition, they encountered some communication problems and chaotic situations. Apart from that, two of their members had injured their fingers which slightly affected their performance during the competition.

Through the competition, they realised that they must always have a positive mindset especially when they fall behind in the score.
