To promote the art of giving, Kuen Cheng High School hosted a donation event called “Care Station”, which was officially held from the 11th to 15th of June 2022. Each class was given an opportunity to donate an item to the needy.

Each class would vote for a select representative to manage and organize the event. At the morning of each day before class, the representative would request the students to hand in their item they’d like to donate, which would then be placed inside a cardboard box or a plastic bag.

Every student donated multiple valuable daily necessities, some small, some big, such as clothing, educational materials like books and magazines, toothbrushes, and many more! Down below is a picture taken from the class JR2S(4) to showcase the items that were given by the generous students. As the saying goes, it does not matter how much we donate; it matters whether the donation is meaningful.

Items donated by the students

Some of the stronger students took the initiative to carry boxes of donations to the School Hall. Lots of teachers, students and some volunteers could be found helping to sort out all the items to be donated to different parts of the country. Most of the students who took part in carrying the boxes felt quite tired, but they were still happy as they could give a helping hand in this activity. Thanks a lot to all the Counseling Department teachers and students who took part in the “Care Station” activity! We do hope that people in need all around the country can feel the warmth and love from Kuen Cheng High School!

Tired, but happy!
