Want to build your skills with courses, certificates, and degrees online from world-class universities and companies? Well, Coursera is the place for you! As part of the self-directed learning activity recently rolled out by Kuen Cheng High School, students will be introduced to various platforms to help them in their studies, and Coursera is one of them. Students will be able to increase their knowledge according to the curriculum or on extra information which may be helpful to them.

Coursera

The official website for Coursera is https://www.coursera.org/. You can sign up for Coursera using your Google email or your Facebook account. If you have already signed up earlier, you can just log in to your account. Students of Kuen Cheng High School are encouraged to sign in using their school Google account.

Once you have reached the homepage, you will see a list of courses available. There will also be other categories, like “Earn Your Degree”, “Explore MasterTrack® Certificates”, “Recently Launched Guided Projects” and others. You will get to take free courses from universities such as Johns Hopkins University, University of Toronto and even Yale University! The courses include “The Arts and Science of Relationships”, “Introduction to Psychology”, “Software Design and Architecture” and many more. The best thing is, most of the courses are free! Therefore, you won’t have to spend money on learning courses that you are interested in.

Coursera’s home page

One of the specialties of Coursera is that you can search for courses that you are interested in, like computer science, financial markets, language courses and many others! You can also filter your choices by filtering out the course language, level, duration, subject, skills, partner and learning products, making sure that you find the course that suits your taste.

Besides, for Senior Middle 3 students, the Campus Student plan is very beneficial as it helps to build students’ skills to add to their resume with unlimited Guided Projects and one free course per year. The skills include learning from top instructors and gaining skills through hands-on learning. After learning these skills, students will be able to earn and share a valued certificate.

Well, have these free features motivated you? If so, what are you waiting for? Get up and have fun while learning additional knowledge along the way with Coursera!
