Every year, Kuen Cheng High School holds a Spring Festival to celebrate Chinese Lunar New Year and its various traditions. From the 5th of January to the 22nd of January, the school held a couplet creating competition to try to inculcate in our students an interest in Chinese calligraphy and couplet writing.
The Co-Curricular Department was the organizer of the event, consisting of 4-characters couplet category and the 7-characters couplet category. The theme of this year’s competition was “Kuen Cheng”, “Tiger” and ”壬寅 (the 39th Year of the Sexagenary Cycle)“. Below is the result of the Competition:

The skillful works of the contestants were displayed on the school’s Facebook page with descriptions. Most contestants wished everyone a year embedded with an abundance of health and affluence, hoping that the pandemic would soon be wiped away under the blessings of spring. Some couplets included phrases wishing everyone a year free from calamity, with only kindness coming their way.
With that, we would like to wish everyone a prosperous and Happy Chinese Lunar New Year, filled with joy and laughter all the way through.
