An Update from the Academic Department
On 11 February 2023, sixty-one Malaysian students won seventy gold medals in the prestigious ICAS 2022 Medal Presentation Ceremony at Azman Hashim Auditorium, Bangunan AICB, Kuala Lumpur.
The ICAS Assessments is a world-class assessment programme joined by more than 1 million students from participating countries such as Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, China, Hong Kong, India and South Africa. The competition focuses on intellectual and critical thinking skills, and acts as an avenue for schools, students and parents to assess their real capabilities in five subjects tested – namely Digital Technologies, Science, Mathematics, English and Writing.
Representatives from the Australian High Commission, President of the National Association of Private Educational Institutions, Janison Australia’s Chief Academic Officer and winning schools were present together with the medal-winning students.
We congratulate the 2022 ICAS medal winners on their outstanding achievements and recognise the educators, families and communities that have supported them. Congratulations to Tan Hong Zher (2022: Form 3, currently a Senior Middle One Science A student of Kuen Cheng High School) who won a gold medal in Digital Technologies paper.
