Tan Sri Datuk Ng Teck Fong was a member of the Board of Directors of Kuen Cheng High School beginning 1989, he took active role and participated in promoting the growth and development in different stages. Tan Sri Datuk Ng had always been a firm believer in dedicating his effort in education for a good cause. He has since been appointed as the Board Secretary from 1991. Tan Sri was unanimously elected as the Vice Chairman of the Board in 2013. He continued to serve in this capacity until his passing.

Tan Sri Datuk Ng Teck Fong left us forever in the morning at 10:30 of Sunday, 21 March 2021, after having served in the School Board for more than a consecutive 32 years.

During his tenure with the Board, Tan Sri impressed all Members with his straightforward, jolly laughter as soon as his presence was felt in a meeting room or at school events. He has taken particular care to make sure arrangements for activities were on the right track and shown his kind thoughts to every detail. With his strong advice and guidance, Kuen Cheng High School had been presented with visits, in 1994, from Taiwan Folk Culture Troupe, an international cultural exchange opportunity for our students, and later, in 1995, from two Russian astronauts that came to share their space travel journeys, the awe-inspiring experiences and thought-provoking talk that have helped our young students to explore more on the planet and knowledge about science. Tan Sri spent enormous time and effort into, education affairs in particular, that were able to directly benefit our students as well as the community in general. He had also given immense support to the Reconstruction of Kuen Cheng High School Project and many other concerns that had spurred the growth of our establishment.

His passing will be mourned by many people. Rest in Peace Tan Sri Datuk Ng Teck Fong.
